Mount Panorama

So I finally did something that I haven’t really done before — spending a month living in a foreign country. Needless to say, Australia is now one of my favourite places on earth, with beautiful scenery, awesome people, and (so much) delicious food.
What surprised me though was how rich and interesting the automotive culture is down under. So I’m going to spend the next couple posts reliving the most interesting stuff I’ve seen there, starting with Bathurst — the racing track that I’ve driven many times on Gran Turismo.

It’s very different to see it in person vs. seeing it on a TV screen. For one thing, it is incredibly scenic. The video games sure do not do the track justice on portraying just how pretty the view is from the top. The only slight disappointment was that the track was closed to the public (yes, you can drive on the track!) on the day when I headed there, but ehhh — in exchange, I got myself some sweet action shots, so it was still worth the 5-hour drive from Sydney.

Seriously y’all, take a trip to Australia. You won’t regret it.
